“Calm mind brings inner strength and self-confidence, so that’s very important for good health.” – Dalai Lama

For us to be able to give away one hundred percent of good vibes to others, we must first guarantee that we possess one hundred percent of the same positive energy. Find time to look within and assess your mental, physical and emotional condition. Genuine happiness and pure love creates overall state of wellness within us.

My husband had a stroke, was in critical condition and placed in the intensive care, two years back. The call was made at a certain point when we we’re dealing with some marital concern and personal differences. It had been a week of torture having to live a thousand miles away and there was an urgency to go see him the soonest.  There was nothing I could do as my documents still needs time to be process.

Friends started to reach out, telling me good things about him and consoling me that things will be better, my conscience beleaguered me for the unscrupulous things I accused him of. I spent hours locked up in my room crying dreadfully of guilt and asking for forgiveness. I prayed to God for an opportunity to make it up to him and prayed even harder to save him from his current state. The long story is due some other time but in the end a miracle did saved him and we are very grateful.

When we are so caught up in our work responsibilities and financial obligations and unconsciously demands so much of our valuable time, we tend to lose sight of the things that are of more importance. Time is more valuable by possessing the good health and well-being within ourselves. It’s useless having a fat pocket and being on top of the ladder when you won’t be able to relish the fruits of your hard work or enjoy it with your dearest ones.

“The foundation of success in life is good health: that is the substratum fortune; it is also the basis of happiness. A person cannot accumulate a fortune very well when he is sick.” – P. T. Barnum

It’s never too late to begin. Acquire that medical check-up that’s been long overdue, enroll in the fitness program you so much desire and try out some healthy diets you’ve been obsessing about. Pamper yourself and take that overseas trip you have been planning  for years. Prevent some losses, add some value to your life and engaged in a behavior that are likely to result in optimal health.
